Gary Norman – Director of Commercial relationships & Senior Surveyor
Gary has lead SA Scaffolding to the current position and won multiple new contracts with leading house builders. Gary leads the pricing and estimating of new projects, ensuring competitive and commercially viable proposals. He manages client agreements, ensuring contractual compliance and alignment with industry standards. By working closely with project teams, he oversees cost control, budget planning, and financial efficiency, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within agreed commercial terms.
Andy Trimby – Operations Manager
Andy brings over 25 years of scaffolding industry expertise, providing leadership and continuity in daily operations. He plays a key role in overcoming on-site challenges, ensuring seamless project execution, and maintaining high operational standards. By coordinating project scheduling and supporting on-site teams, he helps drive efficiency, quality, and compliance across all scaffolding activities.
Brett Mills – Senior Operations Manager
Brett brings over 30 years of scaffolding industry experience, progressing from scaffolder through to senior management roles most recently at Blencowe Scaffolding. He has successfully led depot operations and large project teams, combining hands-on expertise with strong commercial and client management skills. Brett specialises in project delivery, cost control, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance, ensuring clients receive efficient and reliable scaffolding solutions.
James Wood – Contracts Manager
With 16+ years in the scaffolding and access industry, James brings strong hands-on experience, technical knowledge and leadership. A former serviceman, he progressed from working on the tools to managing major projects and complex contracts, including work with Lee Marley and projects valued up to £2.6m.
Val Bagnall – Housing advisor
Val brings extensive executive and non-executive experience across housing, construction and development, including current Non Executive roles with Populo Living and Broadway Living. His background spans affordable housing, regeneration, asset management, governance, audit, risk,and value-for-money, giving SA Scaffolding valuable insight into the key requirements of public-sector clients, housing providers, major contractors and framework-led procurement.
As a Consultant Advisor, Val supports SA Scaffolding’s growth into new markets, helping strengthen our approach to procurement, governance, social value, client engagement and strategic partnerships, as we expand beyond traditional housebuilding into public-sector, refurbishment, maintenance and framework opportunities.
