Supporting Local Schools and Special Education: SA Scaffolding’s Contribution to Charters School, Sunningdale, Ascot.

At SA Scaffolding Limited, we believe that our role as a scaffolding company goes beyond delivering safe access on building sites. It’s about being part of the communities we work in—and stepping up where we can to support the people and places that shape our future.

That’s why we were proud to recently support a special project in collaboration with one of our long-standing developer partners (Taylor Wimpey’s Mark Roach) at Charters School in Sunningdale.

Creating a Space for Rejuvenation and Rehabilitation

Charters School is a highly regarded secondary school in Berkshire with a strong commitment to inclusion and pastoral care. One of their newest initiatives focused on building a dedicated space to support students with learning difficulties, mental health challenges, and additional needs—a quiet, nurturing environment where pupils can rejuvenate, regulate, and rehabilitate away from the pressures of the main school setting.

When we learned of the plans through a housebuilding partner working in the area, we didn’t hesitate to get involved.

We provided and donated scaffolding to support the construction of this important part of the school. It may seem like a small gesture, but we understand that access means progress—and scaffolding plays a crucial role in making spaces like these possible.

Community Impact Through Collaboration

This wasn’t about a contract. It was about collaboration—with the developer, the school, and local trades—coming together to support something that would have a long-lasting impact on the young people in the area.

Our team organised the logistics to ensure the scaffold was delivered and installed efficiently, without disrupting the ongoing academic schedule. We worked alongside other site professionals to ensure the school’s space was completed quickly, safely, and to the highest standards.

It’s part of our wider commitment to giving back, and to using our presence on large-scale developments as a way to amplify local benefit.

Supporting Young People—On and Off the Jobsite

At SA Scaffolding, we’ve long been advocates for creating opportunities for young people—whether that’s through apprenticeships, mentoring, or site-based learning. Contributing to this special education space at Charters School aligns with everything we believe in:
Empowering the next generation
Creating safe and supportive environments
Building strong relationships with our clients and communities

A Thank You to Those Who Made it Happen

We’d like to thank everyone involved—from the project coordinators and school leadership to the wider construction teams—for allowing us to be part of something so meaningful.

It was a reminder that in construction, the work we do is about more than bricks and scaffolds. It’s about enabling real change—especially for those who need it most.
